The Church of St Mark and St Luke was built by Margaret, Marchioness of Carnarvon. is a rare charm found, sheltered beneath a huge cedar tree, and is almost completely Norman and its treasures include a fine chancel arch with beak‑head ornament, a south door with zig‑zag carving and a Norman font exquisitely carved with a procession of 13 figures including two bishops, three devils and one beheaded saint. There is no tower, no aisles and nearly all the windows are original.
