The four bells of St John the Baptist, date back from 1590. In the Cavendish chapel of the church is an unusual monument to Anne Keighley, wife of the 1st Earl of Devonshire, and the tomb of famous philosopher, Thomas Hobbs. The church has an interesting example of Norman and perhaps even earlier work.
