URPoint Details

In September 2003, Aston Martin Lagonda moved into the first purpose built factory in its 90 year history at Gaydon, close to the former Rover and now Jaguar Land Rover works and the Heritage Motor Centre.

Situated on the former RAF V-bomber airfield at Gaydon, Warwickshire, the new factory is part of a much bigger site also occupied by Jaguar, Land Rover and the British Motor Heritage Centre.

Gaydon represents a massive investment in the marque with ample space to manufacture up to 7500 cars a year. Series production of the DB9 coupe begun in January 2004, with the Volante following in January 2005. The AMV8 Vantage begin series production in the middle of 2005.

The Gaydon Aston Martin site is within a short drive from the spiritual home of Aston Martin at Newport Pagnell, which was part of the David Brown Corporation since 1954 and home of AML from the early 1960s through to 2003. Newport Pagnell remains the site for the manufacturing of the V12 Vanquish.
