Ashwellthorpe - Church of All Saints

The Street, Ashwellthorpe NR16 1EZ

URPoint Details

The tower was built in the early 14th century, and there is an interesting alabaster monument between the north chapel and the chancel, possibly of Sir Edmund Thorpe who died in 1417. The carved octagonal font is dated 1660, the year that Charles II was restored to the throne after Cromwell’s Commonwealth had failed.
