The Guildhall, a timber framed 15th century building was built for the Ashdon Guild a religious order. It has been a workhouse, three cottages and is now a private residence.The Rose and Crown Inn has a beautiful and elaborate 17th century wall painting done by a Cromwell follower during one of his stops on his way to a campaign.Bartlow Hills Romano-British Burial Mounds, 2m from the village.The largest Romano-British burial mounds in Europe, some 15m high, date from the 1st century.All Saints Church dates from the 11th century and is reputedly where Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn were secretly married.
