URPoint Details
Set in the River Wreake Valley, much of Asfordby has developed around the Holwell Valley blast furnaces built in the late nineteenth century.
Fortunately, the pleasant character of the older village has remained, including the Old Rectory, Manor House, village cross and of course, the church.
All Saints medieval Church is probably far removed from its original interior appearance. A clean, light, whitewashed interior with interesting vistas created by the south chapel. Go in and enjoy its peace and realise you are in a building dating largely from the 14th and 15th centuries. The Church is open daily all year.
