Disabled car parking 300 yards from garden, approached by smooth, sloping path, suitable for wheelchairs with assistance. Most of the garden is wheelchair accessible with care, though some minor paths have steps wheelchair assistance is advisable for some woodland paths.

Outstanding 20-acre garden on a promontory bound by Loch Melfort and Asknish Bay, on the Sound of Jura, climatically favoured by the North Atlantic Drift or Gulf Stream.

Nationally noted for rhododendrons, azaleas, magnolias and other interesting trees and shrubs, the garden also has a series of ponds, watercourses and many beautiful herbaceous perennials flowering throughout the season. The rhododendron species collection ranks high in importance in Scotland.
