URPoint Details
This lovely town, resort and port situated on a narrow peninsula between the North and South Bays with Horse Island lying offshore in the North Bay.
The ruins of the 13th century Ardrossan Castle, captured by the English and retaken by Wallace was finally destroyed by Cromwell.
There is an ancient well and the so called 'Wallace's Larder'.
