A village set in the mountainous region northeast of Morven, with a colourful clan history of long ago, and where the Corran Narrows almost divide Loch Linnhe in two parts.The Corran lighthouse guards the narrows and dominating the landscape is Sgurr na Eanchainne at 2,397ft.The name of Ardgour usually represents the area between Loch Linnhe and Loch Shiel and its finest mountain Garbh Bheinn at 2,903ft. To the southwest on Loch Linnhe is the entrance to Glen Gour which has no road but overlooked by Sgurr Dhomhall rising to 2,915ft.
