Appuldurcombe House (EH) - Isle of Wight

Open April to September, daily 10am-6pm (Closed every Saturday). Admission charge; dogs on leads allowed.

Disabled parking 400 from entrance via steep slope uphill on rough road. House: impacted gravel paths and flagstone all around the house; all parts of house accessible to wheelchair users except cellars. Grounds: accessible on impacted gravel paths.

The bleached shell of a fine 18th century Baroque style house standing amidst a rolling green landscape in its own ornamental grounds, part of the work by Capability Brown. Small exhibition in the gate lodge. The front of the house has been roofed and windows re-glazed.
