The fine gardens where the lawns sweep down to the Tamar are edged to the west with clipped yew hedges shows the influences of Humphry Repton.
Wall of old kitchen garden bordered by espaliered fruit trees and a row of magnolias. A sheltered flower garden beyond the yew hedge provides colourful summer display and terraces planted with roses. There is also a knot garden planted with box and germander, and there are some fine specimen trees including gingko and cork oak. Topiary includes tall wigwam shape.
