URPoint Details
Walk down through the woods from the station for a view over hills and where the restored late medieval church sits in the heart of town. Treasures include fine 17th century Flemish stained glass in the east window and there are fine brasses in the North transept floor. There are a series of monuments to the Drake family with sculptures dating from 1636 which can be seen by either attending Holy Communion at 10am Wednesday or by arrangement.
