URPoint Details
The town is surrounded by drystone walling and beautiful countryside is supposedly the highest in England with views of the Pennines and the South Tyne Valley. It is built along a steep cobbled street with side streets of stone houses. Near the church stands a black and white timbered house dating from 1691.
