Akermoor Loch is a small upland loch in the Scottish Borders, 2ᄑ miles (4 km) southeast of Ettrickbridge
Since 1971 the loch has been designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), noted for its standing-water habitat and wintering wildfowl.
In the 18th century marl (a form of lime) was extracted for agricultural use, while today it is fished for its brown trout.
