The village was granted permission to hold a market in the 13th century, and is now definitely different to the cattle markets held in those days. Today's markets have a wide array of livestock, plants and the weekly bicycle sale should not be missed.
The church of St Edmund King and Martyr is 900 years old and has a round tower.
The road from Acle to Coltishall was built from what was once marshlands and is a great engineering feat.
