An anglers haven situated on the 18 mile long Loch Shiel and to the east rises Ben Resipol to a height of 2,774ft.
Offshore but linked to the mainland, except at high spring tides stands the ruined 14th century Castle Tioram which belonged to the Macdonalds of Clanranald burnt in 1715.
To the west a by-road leads across Kentra Moss to Ardtoe in Kentra Bay where the islands of Rum and Eigg can be seen.
