URPoint Details
South west of the village is the long wooded valley of Glen Tamar, where two good walks lead over the hills to Glen Mark.
Aboyne Castle to the north has a history dating back to the 13th century. The oldest surviving part of the castle is the west wing, rebuilt in 1671 and has two towers and a keep.
At Davan Loch, 5 miles west has remains of lake dwellings.
