URPoint Details

Situated in Strath Earn north of the Ochil hills, the ruined old parish church of St Kattan stands the mausoleum of the Dukes of Montrose.

To the northeast beyond Dalreoch Bridge across the River Earn and to the north of Gask House lies a five mile stretch of Roman road, which has been excavated in stages since 1770 and again in 1890.
In the grounds of the mansion there are preserved relics of Prince Charles Edward of the 17th century house in which he spent several hours on his way to Edinburgh in 1745.
