URPoint Details
A village between the River Earn and the Ochil Hills and once the Pictish capital and later a Roman base and a fort has been excavated.
The round 12th century church tower is only one of two such towers on the mainland, the other is at Brechin in Angus.
The tower was a refuge in the 12th century for the clergy.
