A lovely pleasant town and an excellent base for the Trossachs situated east of Loch Ard.
In the churchyard are two mortsafes recalling the shocking exploits of the early 19th century body snatchers, Burke and Hare who were eventually tried in Edinburgh.
There are so many lochs to visit including the Lake of Menteith, Loch Chon, Loch Drunkie, Loch Vennacher and the beautiful Loch Katrine.
The Pass of Aberfoyle to Loch Ard road there are two beautiful waterfalls.
