A museum of civic history housed in the city’s 17th century Tolbooth Prison. It charts the development of local government and the history of crime and punishment through the ages of the city.
Visit the old cells and watch the interactive displays bring the city’ past to life, and learn how Jacobite prisoners spent their days after 1745.
