The Butter Cross on the green is a six-sided timber building and marks the spot where as far back as the 14th century, local people did their trading in butter and other produce.
The Church of St Nicholas is medieval and a Queen Anne tower with a balustraded top. The ceremonial horns are kept at the east end of the north aisle.
