The Hospital of the Blessed Trinity was founded by George Abbot, a Guildford man and Archbishop of Canterbury under James I. Originally built as a home in 1619 for 12 old men and 8 widows or spinsters, it still accommodates 23 elderly today.
The brick building is mainly the same as it was originally and the chapel is very interesting with 17th century stained glass windows depicting the story of Jacob in eight panels.
